El Dorado County Supervisor Lori Parlin has issued a statement to Mosquito community residents strongly encouraging attendance at the upcoming Mosquito Fire Protection District Board meeting this Thursday, 7/23, at 1:00 PM at Station 75 in Mosquito. This is a critical time to have your voice heard, as the board is grappling with how to urgently ensure fire and medical services are reliably provided to our community, including a proposed agreement to share staffing, leadership, and resources with a neighboring agency to stabilize service levels.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, send an email of support to admin75@mfpd.us

Before the meeting, there will be a community mixer at the station starting at 11:30 AM where residents can ask questions, learn more about the shared services proposal, and talk directly with district representatives about what’s happening. Your presence matters. Please plan to attend, invite your neighbors, and help show that Mosquito residents are paying attention and care deeply about maintaining strong, local emergency services.
