Ready Fest is Mosquito’s own wildfire readiness and community festival at Dyer Lake Park.

It combines a focused evacuation-readiness talk with a fun, family-friendly festival so neighbors can learn, connect, and prepare before the summer fire season.

Event Overview

Learn what to expect during a wildfire evacuation by our guest speaker from the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office.

OUR COMMUNITY EVACUATES - This information will improve your readiness.

Enjoy a fun, family-friendly festival featuring many of our Partners in Preparedness, including;

  • US Forest Service and Smokey Bear

  • CAL FIRE

  • American Red Cross

  • El Dorado County Animal Services

  • Sierra Wildlife Foundation (animal exhibits)

  • US Navy Recruiting Office

  • Our local Fire Departments

  • Community Emergency Radio Association (CERA)

There will be:

  • Kids’ Jr. Firefighter Activity Zone

  • Animal exhibits and pet evacuation information

  • Hands-on safety demos and information booths

  • Free BBQ and refreshments
